Working at 80 is an absolute nightmare for everyone who has adequately paid into pension insurance for decades of hard work.
“I want to get that money back that I paid during my active life in the office”. But who will pay for it?
Social security will not have enough money to pay well for future generations. Because if you look at the demographic figures for the next 20 years, there are serious doubts about whether this is sustainable.
You might still need to work as a retiree at the age of 80 to have enough money. And that is totally normal.
Many people continue to work until they are 80 for different reasons.
One has debts, one was kicked out of the house by his wife (who doesn’t know that?) and one is lonely.
For your information, working in old age clearly has its advantages:
- Work keeps you mentally and physically fit.
- You become part of a large circle of friends.
- You feel needed and learn new things.
- There are many companies that also work with the elderly in a highly productive and profitable way.
